Smoky quartz has a translucent brown colour which draws the light into it and really seems to glow. The rose cut gives that extra depth to the stone and allows the light to bounce around.
The earrings are sterling silver, with sterling silver butterfly backs. I make the post 10mm long which is usually pretty much the perfect size to ensure that the earrings are comfy enough to wear, even in bed.

All sterling silver and 9ct gold jewellery will benefit from a polish with a jewellery polishing cloth. Used regularly this can keep tarnish at bay. Avoid contact with water for long periods, and chemicals.
